The Old Saw Mill has proudly served the community of Congleton for the past 8 years, building a reputation we deeply value.
However, like many organisations – particularly in the not-for-profit sector – we are facing rapidly rising operational costs. Maintaining our services now requires significantly more resources than ever before. Compounding this challenge is the increasing difficulty in securing grants and other funding, creating a landscape that threatens our long-term viability.
Both the rising operational costs, cash flow and the location of our current building have prompted the board to engage in discussions both within the board and with other organisations in the town to explore opportunities for collaboration to ensure the business’s ongoing sustainability.
Whatever the future holds, we remain incredibly proud of our dedicated staff, volunteers and the community that has been an integral part of the OSM’s story over the past eight years. We are committed to continuing our support in whatever form it may take moving forward.
We are pleased to confirm that we will still be providing Christmas lunches throughout December, as well as a special Christmas Day lunch for anyone who would otherwise spend the day alone.
If you would like to contribute to this event please do get in touch.
Your support is greatly appreciated.
