Last month we mentioned Ukrainian’s coming to Congleton, and that the Old Saw Mill would be involved in welcoming them to the town …
Now we are asking for help with donations to help support the Ukrainian’s, as and when they come and join us in the town. Below you’ll find a list of items collection points in Congleton are desperate to collect in anticipation for their arrival.
- Sanitary Products
- Toothpaste
- Shower Gel
- Nappies
- Wipes
- Clothes in very good condition
- Only clothes for women and children are needed at this time
- NEW colouring books and crayons/pencils
- Nail polish for children
- Makeup for children
- School uniform for any school – (IN ANTICIPATION THAT IT MAY BE NEEDED)
Our Knit and Natter group are about to begin knitting items of clothing to donate and sell in aid of helping and welcoming Ukrainians in the town. We have been donated lots of wool here at the OSM so we are trying to put it to good use.

- Join the group knitting for Ukraine in the café 2-3pm Tuesday’s
- Collect some wool and knit some items to bring back and donate or sell
- Collection of the Wool can be done Tuesday 3rd May 2-3pm

I’d like to support this appeal but although the items required are listed, the collection points aren’t. Can you please let me know where they are?
Hi Janet, thank you for your comment. The main collection point is located at Glebe Farm, there is a large container for donating items. If you can’t get the items there we are more than happy to take the donations here at the Old Saw Mill and organise for them to be moved to the donation point. Kindest Regards, Lili
